Terms of Service
Last updated: 18 September 2026
1. Who provides the service
Klarshelf is provided by Michele Scotellaro ("we"). By installing the app on a Shopify store you ("the merchant") accept these terms.
2. What the service does
Klarshelf analyses the product catalog of the connected Shopify store, reports quality and translation issues, and generates proposed texts using an AI model. Proposals are written to the store only after the merchant approves them, and applied changes can be undone from the app.
3. The merchant's responsibilities
- The merchant is responsible for the content of their store, including any text they approve and apply through the app.
- The merchant must review each proposal before applying it. AI-generated text can be wrong or incomplete, even when it passes our automated checks.
- The merchant must not use the app to produce misleading claims or content that infringes third-party rights.
- The merchant keeps their own backups of product data. The app's undo covers changes the app made, not changes made elsewhere.
4. Plans, billing and quotas
- Plans, prices and free trials are shown on the Shopify App Store listing and inside the app.
- Billing is handled by Shopify, on the merchant's Shopify invoice. We never receive card details.
- Each plan includes a number of AI proposals per billing period. When the allowance is used up, generation is blocked until the next period or until the merchant changes plan. Unused allowance is not carried over and used allowance is not refunded.
- Changing plan or re-subscribing does not reset the allowance within the same period.
- The merchant can cancel at any time from Shopify; cancellation takes effect according to Shopify's billing rules.
5. Availability
We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Maintenance, provider outages, Shopify API limits and Shopify platform changes can interrupt the service. Scheduled analyses may be delayed.
6. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability towards a merchant is limited to the fees that merchant paid for the app in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost sales or lost rankings in search engines or AI assistants.
7. Data protection
Personal data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. The app does not request access to customer or order data.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access if the app is used in a way that breaks these terms, Shopify's terms or the law, or if a merchant repeatedly overloads the service. The merchant can terminate at any time by uninstalling the app; data is then deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Changes to the service and to these terms
Features may change as Shopify's platform and AI models change. We announce material changes to these terms in the app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
